Eternity: Shinya No Nurekoi Channel

Just when I thought I was cleared and cleansed from my seasonal pseudo anime hentai, suddenly I found myself watching one recently! WTF???!!! I thought I gotten over my pseudo addiction?! And now I’m back?! What the hell happened?! Well, I blame Kaifuku Jutsuhi No Yarinaoshi for that relapse. Yeah, that degenerate and twisted anime has got me feeling a bit horny and hence why I thought of watching one just to drive it all away. Don’t ask how I came up with that logic. And here I am, deciding to check out Eternity: Shinya No Nurekoi Channel. Unlike other psuedo anime hentai that I have watched, this is an omnibus of short stories. Yes, each episode is a different story. Although each is pretty much the same with eventual sex scenes.

Episode 1
Mika is already at that ‘old’ age. Yup, 29 years old. So when Shiho pops the question to her, she was surprised at first. Why? Because I love you. Yup. The simple truth that led them to get married. As Shiho is a police officer, they don’t spend much time together. This means when he comes back, she will be already asleep. So much for sex. Shiho has a colleague that is divorced and from what I understand, he seems to be badmouthing their marriage because like everyone else, they thought he would’ve gone and married their captain, Nakamura. Apparently not. Shiho points his gun at him. Don’t talk bad about us, okay? When Shiho comes home early, Mika greets him and instantly they kiss. Then they take a bath together and if you’re still doubting the other’s love, here’s your first sex scene. Uh huh. Bathroom sex. Is that enough love for you? Episode 2

She soon learns that he rejected the project because it was unfair and something about the magazine supposed to publish it a month ago and not during this bidding period. Even when she is discharged, he brings her back to his place to help nurse her. One night as she notices him working late, she talks to him about his project. He claims a certain woman he loves changed his style and he hopes that woman would be his one day. So a sad Honoka returns to bed in tears as she wonders who that woman is because she is so in love with him. Sighs. My eyes are rolling… Once Honoka has her leg cast off, he continues to care for her. She feels weird that she might overstayed her welcome but he claims that he isn’t doing this out of responsibility but because he loves her. So do you get the hint now? You’re the woman he loves! He explains further that they met 2 years prior at a kindergarten where her design won the bidding. Hayato realizes why he lost and then studied her ways. Like a stalker?! Anyway, it also made him realize he loves her and the rest is history. And now that they’ve prove their love for each other, there’s nothing left but sex. Uh huh. Interested to study all the curves and design of a human body, eh???!!! Thank God for this architectural (sexual) masterpiece!!!

Episode 3
Looks like Ito got stood up by some colleague. Since it is awkward to see his face every day, she decides to quit and go study abroad. She cries because she is confused and can’t understand why he’s mad if he doesn’t say. He further explains he always cared for her in the company but due to the wall between them, it’s the reason why he took her as a housekeeper. It’s so that they could get closer. It’s because he loves her. That’s his true feelings for her. So what’s your answer? Oh yes. She loves him too. And as expected, they solidify their love for each other with great sex. F*ck his fiancée and future marriage, right? He’s in love with his housekeeper and not some high ranking daddy’s girl. Oh well, that’ll be some juicy drama for another time.

Episode 4
Actress hopeful Miku goes for interview to be the secretary of Dita. She is wary of him for she knows that he is a famous actor with many scandals behind. During the interview, he tells her straight that this job is just a façade. What he wants her to be is to pretend to be his fiancée for a month since he doesn’t want to get married to the woman dad arranged. At first she refuses but since he says he’ll pay her 10 times and consider this a step to become an actress, she agrees. His condition: Don’t fall for him. That’s an insult, right? During dinner, she learns of his concept of love. Although he has fallen in love before, he just couldn’t see himself spending the rest of his life with a single person. During the vacation, WTF he almost rapes her?! Although he regrets it, she forgives him and brushes the whole thing off. Now it’s Miku’s turn to be a good actress as she plays Dita’s fiancée. His father grills her and is not impressed with a person of unknown stature. Dita stops the interview, claiming she is tired. But later, father talks to her privately and tries to talk her out of the marriage. Of course she still refuses. Dita gets worried thinking what father might said to her because they are very alike. Miku dismisses and claims he is a much better person than his father. So this is enough to have sex? Yeah, definitely best acting ever! Or not?! Next time, Miku gives her reply to his father and that she will not budge from her decision. But when he threatens that if Miku hangs around him, he will be hurt because all those working under Dita also works for him, Miku is forced to accept to leave him. When father tells Dita that Miku has left for the money, he refuses to believe him. A long time passed. Miku regrets leaving Dita. So much so she is hearing voices of him calling her. Why, it’s really him! Looks like he fired all his staffs and started anew from scratch. He doesn’t blame her for choosing to leave him then because she was just protecting him. That’s why he loves her. So with their new home, a great house warming as they have sex. Definitely not acting. So can this be considered scandal fodder in the future? Not with the one you love!

Episode 5
Tamaki is working late when she is surprised that Yousuke is here. Wasn’t he supposed to be in England? Flashback shows that they knew each other in university. However, Tamaki’s parents died and her uncle swindled all the money and house. Nowhere left to go, Yousuke let her stayed at his place and they even slept with each other. However because she couldn’t understand his feelings, she left. Now she ends up working in a company that belongs to his father and Yousuke is the successor. Yousuke then tells her that he wants her to be his lover since his father has arranged a blind date for him. Further flashback reveals Tamaki did meet his father once. He knew about her family’s predicament and gave her a blank cheque just to stay away from his son. Did she cash it in? I don’t know, because she now accepts Yousuke’s offer just to give it back. Hasn’t the cheque gone stale if she did not cash it in?! Anyway, she is feeling tired so Yousuke once again lets her sleep at her place. And suddenly he makes out with her! I guess she going with the flow shows that she isn’t that tired. Since he talks about love and she doesn’t understand it, he’ll show it through his actions! Yeah, sex time! OMG. First blowjob of the series?! Yeah, I guess action speaks louder than words! In the end, Yousuke wants her to continue living with him so everyone can see his relationship with her. At first it was awkward between them but she realizes that it would get worse if she doesn’t do something about it. And so she decides to oblige him like holding his hand. This also includes inviting him to stay at her place. Because she loves him. Must be all those sweets and gifts. Oh brother, you can’t wait to make out? Right here in the hallway?! One reason why Mizoguchi had to leave was because he told her his wife is coming back. When Suou finds out about Rin’s affair, he tells her off he hates that kind of woman. Before she could tell him back the same thing, he kisses her?! So, this is his logic of keeping her company and to stay away from that old man? And also to remove her mask? She also takes on this challenge and kisses him. She’s going to remove his mask too. One thing leads to another and now they’re having sex! WTF?! This sounds more like porn logic?! Episode 9

Rei clears the air that he knows he has been dating Aoi all along and is in love with her. Hence his proposal is for Aoi and not Akane. Episode 12
The Sanjou and Saeki family seem to have a marriage agreement between them. So when Manami’s father tells her she will be a bride candidate, she couldn’t believe it is her boss, Akihito. Also, Manami can be assured she is no longer the 4th choice but his 1st choice! Oh yeah!

When Love & Sex Collide…
Well… I don’t know if that did the trick. Can’t say if I have gotten over my pseudo hentai anime ‘addiction’ and only when the next season arrives, the truth will be told. Heh. A lame and loose excuse that I might do so. After all, I STILL CAN’T GET ILLYA’S VOICE OUT OF MY HEAD!!! OMFG. It’s been such a long time and although it had not been bugging me during my absence of not watching this genre, when I first started watching this show, those thoughts of Ilya’s voice in such sleazy anime rang through my mind. Oh God. And there were no seiyuus whose voice that were squeakily close to her throughout the series. So I take it. Next season’s pseudo hentai, high chance that I might watch it just to forget Ilya’s voice. Heh. Believe me. Heh.

Anyway, as far as this series is concerned, as a straight guy watching this, I’m having mixed feelings all over. Although I do not watch anime porn, but because I have watched many of the pseudo anime hentai throughout the years, the sex scenes are kinda numbing to me by now. Also, after the wicked and corrupted Kaifuku Jutsuhi No Yarinaoshi, such sex scenes here are so tame in comparison. So I don’t know if it is a good thing or a bad thing that while watching the dozen sex scenes, I didn’t really find the need to jerk off. I mean, yeah, sex scenes, cool. Feel like busting a nut while watching? Nah. Not really.

As far as I want to label the sex scenes as porn logic (awfully hilarious and weird circumstances that would lead to the characters f*cking each other), however most circumstances feel slightly a bit down to earth. Not to say that it is totally relatable. It is after all, sexual fantasies so there is some element of unrealism. Most probably it is because this series is an adaption of the Eternity Books series. These are novels whose target audiences are adult women. Unlike sleazy hentai targeted for men, such as those targeted for women have some romance element in it. Just that, it eventually leads to sex. Hey, who says men are the only ones who get horny? Hence the formula of this series feels pretty much alike as we see the women being romantically seduced by the hot man and it ends up with them having sex.

Of course it is still unrealistic in some ways because you do realize that all the guys here are really hot hunks. Plus, they are rich and having high positions in big companies. Wow. The ideal guy. Is this really what a woman wants? And of course, the ladies themselves are cute and pretty enough, hence making their romance take off so easily. Imagine if the guys were fat and ugly. Yeah, not going to make the cut! Imagine the same for the women! This show wouldn’t even happen! Remember, this is sexual fantasy. Thus it might seem unrealistic that a handsome guy with a position takes a liking for a female who holds a lesser status but they see through all of it because the matters of the heart is the most important factor and once they get past whatever obstacle, this accumulates in the form of sex. Wow. So idealistic. Of course, there is a character in here who is chubby but you do notice that she is also cute looking if you look closely. And so once again, love proves that it conquers all. Can’t say this series is fatphobic! But yeah, they didn’t have any tanned woman or one of a different race!

In bed, I wonder if this is what women want too. Because I noticed that the guys are very considerate when it comes to f*cking their girl. They will be thoughtful to ask her if she is okay and that if she is in pain or not feeling comfortable with the sex act, she can tell him to stop. And of course, they don’t want the good feeling to stop even if it sometimes hurt. Hurts so good, huh? So to expand on the sex scenes, many of them feel somewhat the same. Sometimes I feel like I’m watching the same sex act in the previous episode but they just replace the actors. Because I do notice that in all the sex scenes, the guy will start licking and caressing her nipples and boobs. And then he will spread her legs and start licking down there in addition to fingering her. Caressing her with nice words and loving every inch of her body. Then missionary position, sometimes backdoor position or cowgirl position… Ultimately, they are all very much vanilla sex positions. The ending theme, Everlasting Story by Gunjou Yasaka may not be as sexy as Barry White’s ultra sexy crooners but it still has its own sexy charm to it.

If you aren’t bored watching the same kind of sex scenes as well as same kind of romance formula in almost every episode, I’m sure you’ll find this romantic. Heh. That in the very loosest form.
